Hardly is there a flower that evokes a sense of the tropical more than the passion flowers. Passiflora incarnata is the hardiest of the passionflowers and is native to the eastern US where it grows as a herbaceous vine. Maypop has incredibly intricate purple and lavender flowers that are followed by greenish yellow, delicious and tangy passionfruits. 'Pink Pop' is a special colour form with beautiful large, fragrant, prolifically blooming, lavender-pink flowers. Often freezes to the ground and comes back in the spring. Self-fertile.
