Symphoricarpos doorenbosii 'Pinky Promise' is a very pretty, hardy ornamental shrub with exceptional late season interest on small, compact mounding plants 3 feet tall and wide. Pinkish-white, bell-shaped flowers appear in short racemes in late spring followed by abundant, plump, white, clustered berries that flush bright pink through summer and fall. Rich, mint green leaves provide the perfect backdrop. Ideal in mixed borders, as hedges, along walkways, and on slopes and banks and as a container planting.
