Description:
'Stand By Me Lavender' is a bush Clematis, not a vine, with beautiful, lavender purple, bell-shaped flowers in early summer reblooming in late summer. After blooming, creamy thread-like seed heads appear. The foliage also plays an ornamental role with a bronze shade to the undersides of new foliage. Unlike other clematis, this one is completely herbaceous and dies back to the ground in fall. Use stakes, garden structures or nearby plants to support its growth habit or allow it to arch and weave into nearby plants. Deer and rabbit resistant.
