Rubus idaeus 'Purple' is a summer-bearing raspberry that produces heavy crops of large, firm, dusky purple berries with a delicious sweet flavour on vigorous and hardy canes. Requires organically rich, moist but well-drained soils in full sun to part shade. Yield will be higher in full sun. Remove fruited canes after fruiting to encourage new canes. Enjoy fresh, frozen, canned, and baked. Attracts bees and wildlife. Possibly hardy to zone 3.
