Japanese irises offer the largest flowers of all iris groups with very interesting colour combinations and patterns. They prefer full sun and moist soil. Iris ensata Dinner Plate ‘Tiramisu’ has large, 6 inch wide, semi-double white blooms speckled and picoteed in lavender pink to warm purple with bright yellow ribbing emerging from the centre. Blooms in early summer. The foliage is green and lance-shaped. Thrives in damp borders and pond or stream edges. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
