Paeonia lactiflora 'Green Halo' is an unusual and cool semi-double peony with a central ball-shaped tuft of ruffled white petals housing buttery yellow stamens, haloed at the base with more ruffled, chartreuse to light green petals. Flowers are up to 8 inches wide and lightly fragrant with strong stems to about 30 inches tall. Blooms mid-spring. Foliage is deeply incised and divided. Peonies are long-lived up to 70 years. Pollinator attractor. Deer resistant.
