Hakonechloa macra 'Beni-Kaze' is a Japanese selection that forms a flowing mound of green foliage that takes on striking red tones in the fall, earlier and more dramatically than the normal species. The cultivar name can be translated as 'red wind' which describes this plant’s autumn look perfectly.
