Description:
Sinningia is a genus related to Gloxinia and African violets. 'Invasion Force' is a lovely pink selection with fragrant tubular flowers atop, soft, felted foliage. During the growing season they prefer evenly moist soils but when dormant in winter the underground tubers prefer to be on the drier side. They are hardy to zone 7 but are best protected from winter wet. Provide good drainage and a dry location for winter such as under the overhang of the house or place a plastic cover over clumps. In colder climates grow as a pot plant. They may also perform well as a houseplant though we haven't tried it ourselves yet.
