Description:
Tulipa 'Bleu Aimable' is a unique historical tulip from 1910 with lavender-blue flowers with subtle shadings of magenta on the petals and white on the petals and petal edges. The interior is white at the base surrounded by true blue. Large hybrid tulips can be maintained in the garden if given a sunny location with rich soil and slow release fertilizer when in growth. Hybrid tulips can persist in the garden for many years. Afterall, they rebloom each year in the fields of the Netherlands. Provide full sun where bulbs aren't shaded by other plants, fertilize with bulb food as soon as they emerge in spring, and allow the foliage to die back naturally after flowering.
