Description:
Crocus corsicus is endemic to Corsica and Sardinia. The flowers are bright lilac-pink on the inside with bright orange stigmas and light pink on the outside with beautiful dark purple feathering. The flowers are small but produced in large numbers in early to mid spring. This species is similar to C. minimus, also found on Corsica and Sardinia, which has a yellow stigma. Photos: Wikipedia.
