Allium macranthum is a rare species of wet habitats from China, Tibet and Bhutan that blooms in mid to late summer. It has small, delicate, pendulous, bell-shaped, pink to purple-pink flowers held in a loose cluster on stems up to 24 inches tall. Grow in rich, humusy soil with good moisture in part sun to part shade. Available in fall as dry bulbs and sometimes in spring as potted plants.
