Agave palmeri is the largest species native to the United States occurring in southern Arizona south into Mexico. It can resemble narrow-leaved forms of A. parryi with blue-green leaves but these are often longer and more lance-shaped. A. palmeri can grow to 4 feet wide in habitat but will stay to about 2 feet by 2 feet grown in pots.
