Alcea rosea ‘Halo Lavender’
Common Name: Hollyhock Family: Malvaceae (The Mallow Family)

Alcea rosea 'Halo Lavender' is an update on an old garden classic. This hollyhock has unique lavender-purple flowers with a glowing pink ring surrounding a yellow centre. Combine that with a bushy habit, strong perenniality, and superior rust resistance and you've got a winner. Easy to grow in a variety of soils including seasonally dry sites but hollyhocks really perform well in rich, loamy soil with good moisture.
