Alcea rosea ‘Halo Cerise’
Common Name: Hollyhock Family: Malvaceae (The Mallow Family)

Alcea rosea 'Halo Cerise' is an update on an old garden classic. This hollyhock has glowing pink to magenta flowers with deep royal purple centres that look almost black at a distance. Combine that with a bushy habit, strong perenniality, and superior rust resistance and you've got a winner. Easy to grow in a variety of soils including seasonally dry sites but hollyhocks really perform well in rich, loamy soil with good moisture.
