Salvia 'Madeline' is a hybrid sage discovered within a patch of Salvia hians in the garden of famed designer Piet Oudolf. It has amazing bicolour flowers with a large, hooked, purple to purple-blue hood and a lower white lip. The flowers are borne in late spring and early summer on many upright square stalks from a basal rosette of large, textured, green leaves. Popular with pollinators including hummingbirds. Provide good drainage and full sun.
