Description:
Hymenocallis (Ismene) caribaea 'Tropical Giant' is a large, robust spider lily or Peruvian daffodil with lush, Amaryllis-like, green leaves topped with spidery, pure white daffodil-like flowers with a round corona, long, thin filaments, orange stamens, a greenish yellow throat, and long, thin petals. Flowers are sweetly fragrant on stems 1-2 feet tall. Grow in a protected location outdoors with a mulch of fallen leaves for winter as low as zone 7b or as a pot plant brought in as a houseplant in winter.
