Allium 'Mercurius' forms tall, 2-3 foot stems topped with flowers in a rich, saturated shade of raspberry wine. The flowers are gathered densely in a half globe, offering dynamic and striking architectural appeal. Few plants can offer the unique flower forms of ornamental onions with spring and early summer flowers, attractive summer seed heads that dry to give winter interest. Every garden should have Alliums. Plant in groups, with multiples of 3, 5, 7 or more for the strongest impact.
