Description:
Phyllostachys nigra 'Henon' is one of the largest bamboos grown in the Pacific Northwest and BC with culms 50 feet tall and up to four inches wide. If you want a bamboo forest, this is is your plant! It is thought that this is the true species from which black bamboo originated. 'Henon', however, has green culms that age to a distinct olive grey colour. The small leaves produce a giant, feathery, layered leaf pattern that is most beautiful.
