Description:
Camellia japonica is a stunning specimen for any garden with glossy, dark-green, oval leaves that persist through winter and produce lovely, rose-like flowers in early spring. 'April Dawn' is part of the April Series and has been bred to be particularly winter hardy; being one of the best selections for areas in zone 6. Snow-white flowers bespeckled with splashes of pink blossom in April. Camellias appreciate rich, acidic, moist, well-draining soils.
