Hydrangea macrophylla 'Izu-no-hana' is a delicate and beautiful lacecap cultivar from Japan. The sterile and fertile florets can be a gorgeous blue in acidic soils or a glowing deep pink in alkaline soils. The sterile florets have a double set of petals. There are usually only 5-10 per lacecap held on long pedicels creating lovely open and airy effect.
