The evergreen Himalayan maidenhair fern, Adiantum venustum, forms delicate and elegant, slowly expanding mats.
The Himalayan maidenhair fern, Adiantum venustum, is evergreen in mild areas, with a thin, creeping rhizome. It forms a gorgeous mat with ovate fronds composed of many small fan-shaped segments, often turning an attractive orange or rusty-brown in autumn and winter. The new growth is also beautiful in shades of coral pink. Combine with spring ephemerals like Cardamine and Anemone nemorosa.
