Description:
Mitraria coccinea is a charming but uncommon Chilean and Argentinian viny shrub with tubular, fiery orange flowers and evergreen foliage on red stems perfect for the shadier parts of the garden. It will likely bloom in mid to late spring and perhaps intermittently thereafter until September. In its native habitat it will trail along the forest floor until it finds something to climb up where it will erupt with flowers.
