Epiphyllum cartagense is an orchid cactus from Panama and Costa Rica with narrow-petaled, spidery white flowers up to three inches across from red buds. It is rare in cultivation and little information is available. It seems to bloom during the day rather than at night like other species. Grow as a houseplant in the cold months and as an outdoor patio plant in the summer in bright indirect light or part shade/part sun. Easy to grow and bloom. Native from Mexico to Guatemala.
