Description:
Gloriosa carsonii is a species from East Africa with striking flowers with yellow rippled petals centred with burgundy-red. Gloriosa lily is hardy to zone 8 and possibly zone 7 if soil conditions are dry during dormancy. Try it under the overhang of the house or grow in a pot that is kept dry and frost-free over winter. All parts of the plant are poisonous so no salads!
