Description:
Salvia gauranitica 'Purple and Bloom' is an anise-scented sage that offers the same flower power and performance as 'Black and Bloom' but with multitudes of large, rich purple, tubular flowers with the classic black sepals over a long season from summer into fall. Plants will grow to 3-4 feet tall and wide. Provide well-drained soil in full sun. Hard prune each spring. Even worth it as an annual in colder climates. Hummingbird magnet. Pollinator attractor. Mulch in winter. Possibly hardy to zone 7.
