Kniphofia rooperi

('productnameshort')

Kniphofia rooperi is a late summer blooming red hot poker with large, orange-red, egg-shaped flowers fading to yellow.

Description:
One of the most dramatic of the red hot pokers, Kniphofia rooperi is sure to evoke awe with its exotic form and flower. When the rest of the garden tires in late summer, large, egg-shaped flowers emerge from bright reddish orange buds on top of four foot tall spikes revealing bright orange-red tubular flowers gradually fading to yellow in autumn. Flowers remain well into fall. The foliage is evergreen, long and arching. Requires moist but well-drained soil. Provides vertical appeal in beds and borders, in informal settings and coastal gardens. Attracts hummingbirds and butterflies. Deer and rabbit resistant.
