Clematis Evison 'Edda' belongs to the Boulevard series offering a compact habit that is ideal for the small garden, balcony and hanging basket. An all-around winner with large, semi-double blooms of deep purple with deep violet-red bars blooming freely from late spring through summer on stems 3 - 4 feet long, in full sun to part shade though direct sun can cause fading. Pruning group 3. Raymond Evison is the world's most famous Clematis breeder producing superior and distinctive cultivars with long bloom periods, excellent disease resistance, and bold colours. Use them on trellises and pergolas, grow them into shrubs, or use them as ground covers.
