Description:
Penstemon fruticosus is one of our better-known native beard tongues with large lavender purple flowers on short, spreading mats that can be 2-3 feet wide. Great for the front of the border in full sun and in well-drained soils. Also great in rock gardens. Popular with bees and hummingbirds.
