Podophyllum ‘Kaleidoscope’

('productnameshort')

Podophyllum 'Kaleidoscope' is a spectacular mayapple with large, octagonal leaves that emerge with silver and bronze patterns.

Description:
Podophyllum 'Kaleidoscope' is a spectacular hybrid of several Asian mayapples boasting large, octagonal, umbrella-shaped leaves that emerge with bold patterns of silver and blackish bronze fading with age into a mottled shield of greens and chocolate-brown. The intensity of the foliage pattern depends on light, temperature, and age with bolder patterns on older plants in cool conditions. Large clusters of 7-20 garnet-red flowers are found under the leaves in spring. In the past we have observed it to grow more slowly than 'Spotty Dotty'.
