Description:
Citrus reticulata (syn. Citrus kinokuni) 'Gold Nugget' has a vigorous upright growth habit with dense branching and produces bright golden yellow-orange, easy-to-peel, seedless, sweet fruits. The rinds can be smoothish to fairly bumpy. Said to be one of the best tasting mandarins in the world. More frost tolerant than other mandarins and possibly hardy to zone 8 and coastal BC. All of our citrus are grafted onto C-35 citrange, trifoliate orange, or other semi-dwarfing rootstock which confer good hardiness and production while reducing overall tree size.
