'Lucy Ball' grows to 3-4 feet tall with giant, fragrant, rosy-purple flower heads to 6 inches across - almost as big as Allium giganteum but with a denseness of florets similar to 'Globemaster'. A rarely encountered cultivar, 'Lucy Ball' will flower in early summer. Few plants can offer the unique flower forms of ornamental onions. Every garden should have Alliums. Plant in multiples of 3, 5, 7 or more. Don't fret when foliage starts to die back just before flowering. It's normal. Just trim the leaves.
