Common Name: Chocolate Vine Family: Lardizabalaceae (The Lardizabala Family)

A decorative, twining climber with attractive leaves and flowers. The leaves are divided into five leaflets. The flowers appear in clusters of purple and mauve and smell like chocolate.

Native Habitat:
Woods, hedges, thickets in mountainous areas. Forest margins along streams, scrub on mountain slopes.
