Aquilegia canadensis ‘Little Lanterns’
Common Name: Columbine Family: Ranunculaceae (The Buttercup Family)

‘Little Lanterns’ is a selection from the eastern counterpart to our BC native A. formosa. It is short in stature, but free with flowers. Numerous pendant flowers in shades of red and yellow cover the plant in late spring. This selection is consistently shorter in stature and more intense in colour than the species making it a better garden plant. Popular with hummingbirds. Tolerant of dry shade.
