Amorphophallus bulbifer (Pink with Blotches)
Common Name: Devil's Tongue Family: Araceae (The Arum Family)

This form differs from the species in having longer stems with more intense stem markings, bigger flowers with more of a pink flush to the spathes and less spots, and larger, more ribbed foliage. The bulb will go dormant by fall. Bring the pot inside to a cool, dry place. Begin watering when you see the spike of the tightly-furled stem poking out of the soil in spring. Also available: The still intriguing normal form.
